Once again. You don't contribute the most per head, london and the se does. You contribute slightly more per head than the uk average. Don't let facts get in the way though eh?

Not sure how resources i.e. money will 'stay where it is' when it comes from westminster.

I suspect pompey would be happy to have the sub fleet and all the jobs that go with it. I expect there will be pressure on bae to move work from glasgow to the uk as well.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

In the short term, yes, uk will be slightly worse of financially. This will change as uk military interests are relocated to the remainder of the uk and as investment that might previously have gone to scotland is made elsewhere in the uk instead.

Last I knew London and the SE were not a country.

It doesn't matter, it would still have been a scottish bank and fallen on.scotland to bail it out or let it fold. What would Salmond have done?

So ******* what? We're talking tax paid per head in parts of the UK. ONS considers London and SE a region.

Yes and the ONS I'm sure also considers Scotland a region, but it's not.

The point is Scotland has an opportunity, as a country, to become independent to ensure taxes collected (whether greater or not than other parts of the UK) are spent in the country.

Higher taxes collected in the SE & London must spread beyond the region, unlike Scotland. It's most unhealthy for England to be supported on one region and then that same region complain when other regions do not pull their weight.

There's another point. The SE & London are awfully fond of their immigrants. They keep allowing more in. Eventually the region is just going to burst. It's like butter spread over too much toast, eventually it just tastes like cardboard.

The question and variations of it are a favourite of the negative camp.

You and I both know as a small country that bank would never in a month of Sunday's been allowed to grow to the size it did. Furthermore, like Iceland, the bank would have been allowed to fail, as it should have been. And my goodness look how well Iceland is doing now.

What investment? Scotland & the North of England have been screaming out over this unfair disparity for years. What a wasted opportunity having the Olympics in London, why not another region of the UK that's screaming for investment? All we hear is debate for more billions to be spent on London, HS2, 3rd runway for Heathrow, cross rail, the list goes on..

Arguments in support of a better together are long lost. It takes years to build trust, not seven months. Trust in Westminster governments has reached new lows these past decades.

Yes, naive Scots like you should bugger off and do your own thing.

The truth is you won't, sadly, because you know that then you'll have no-one to moan at except yourselves.
