The Scots won't vote for independence. Being ruled and looked after by England is the natural order of things for them.

I say, I say, I say, why did the Scotsman wear a skirt?

Because some Scots were told they had to by an Englishman when he found they were working to slowly in their own garb, and so invented skirts for them to wear. They then took pride in their subservience and decided it was a traditional Scottish piece of dress instead.

Oh, I forgot to add a punchline, opting for facts instead.

Cameron can't lose this referendum, yes or no he wins:

          NO - Aren't I great, I saved the UK.

YES - Death of Labour majority in England, roll on a general election.

Some victory. A Tory majority at every election.

Cost? The UK is broken up like a old car at the scrapyard.

Result? No one wants to hear from a country that cannot keep it's union together. Even the EU does a better job.

                How about:

                Scotland vote for independence.

They offer a one off cash incentive, equivalent of a year's benefits to anyone who's been unemployed for > 1 year who's prepared to move to England.

They can then afford to lower taxes - both for individuals and business, thus attracting good people who will contribute to success.

                Sorted

The world ..the whole wide world, will heap scorn upon the Government in power that sees the scottish part of the union break free from the rest of the UK.

And we are going to ignore him too.

I certainly don't care if the Scots vote for independence. Off you go laddies, then you can whinge and blame Holyrood instead of us.

Quite possibly they'll heap scorn on the scotsmen that did it as well. Depends how it all pans out.

The UK will be worse off without scotland in the short term, longer term it's hard to say. My feeling is scotland might see some short term gains but will be worse off in the long run.
