No man has ever looked good in any form of slip-on footwear.

(I am in my loft/office wearing a body warmer though.)

I have no inherited wealth, and although I am fairly posh I am quite comfortable mixing with knobs. The advantage of running an IT recruitment agency is that I get to see the class system from the other end too

In my own limited experience I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It helps remove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any obstacles we encounter. It is the principal source of success in life. Since we are not solely material creatures, it is a mistake to place all our hopes for happiness on external development alone. The key is to develop inner peace.”

I've lived and worked in the UK for nearly 30 years. If I've ever met a posh person, I didn't really notice. I really can't take class seriously as a concept with any relevance to my life.

(I'm not denying that red trousers and a certain accent might lead me to automatically classify someone, just don't believe that the classification would make any practical difference to anything.)
