Unfortunately the right has not just learned class war, but learned how to do it better than the left. -
I saw him play for Newcastle (against Luton), the first football match I went to upon returning to the UK...Originally posted by Old Greg View PostYou belong in the age of Supermac, my friend.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

I am a Scot, but I don't think we're going to vote for independence, otherwise you'd be right. If the EU vote were held first and went for "Out", then I'd guess the Scottish vote would go the other way.Originally posted by Uncle Albert View PostDo you have any Scottish ancestry? The SNP are very keen on remaining part of the EU should they get independence so you'd probably be able to remain European if you become Scottish. You might even be able to get dual Scottish/Whatever the rest of the UK winds up being called nationality.
My great-great-great-grandfather was Irish but I don't think that's close enough, most of the British Isles has at least that much Irish in them.Comment

Actually apart from family that's a good question for a Scot working in England too!Originally posted by Mich the Tester View Post... if you can earn enough in 6 months in northern Europe to spend the rest of the year with family in sunny southern Europe, would you move permanently to a rainy, grey, cold place where few people really accept you as their equal?Comment

If I can get a graduate job in Jersey after I plan to stop contracting, I would like to get citizenship there. I've already got a few other non-British passports to my name, but I don't really fancy moving to any of the issuing countries.Comment

That's likelier in London than Jersey, tbh. It's more advantageous tax-wise, and London isn't exactly half a world away. Plus I like quieter places.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostFTFY
