I think the premise that every one is born with equal worth is correct.

From there your actions define your worthiness - if for example you are a lazy scrotey toe rag who spends all their school years smoking pot, robbing cars and boning your cousin and therefore came out with no qualifications you will become less worthy a human being then someone who took a more virtous route as you will simply be of less value to the 'model' world.

Once we have agreed that then it does follow that actually you are of less value and it does not matter what social engineering or re-engineering is done if you have not used your formative years to obtain skills with value to other people you are worth less than other people.

I think myself and a few people I know have proven your second paragraph wrong. Having probably done most of the tulip (apart from boning my cousin, I think) that you state, I am of value to this 'model' world, possibly even more than you because I can in fact relate to what you presumably see as degenerate behavior and quite confidently state whether it's good for you or not. Its a bit like saying "I don't like asparagus" when you've never eaten it...Aren't most despots well educated and would you consider them more worth than other people?

Equality therefore is an entirely subjective "concept" based on a set of rules that will always fall apart under any logical scrutiny. It is used therefore as a tool by the left to manipulate the guilt in people and to stop us from aspiring higher than the highest common denominator.

This is bollocks. Equality, in the sense you are using it, is a strawman constructed in order to create a false dichotomy and avoid acknowledging that inequality is a matter of degree, thus justifying the acceptance of any degree of inequality however undesirable or avoidable.

While "equality" is impossible, and it seems to me that some inequality is actually desirable, the fact is that excessive economic inequality correlates strongly with various ills from crime through to mental health issues, and this affects the rich as well as the poor. It even correlates with reduced innovation (measured by number of patents issued). If you want to slash the benefits bill, reduce the cost of the NHS, relieve the burden on the criminal justice system, and get the economy moving then tackling economic inequality is a good place to start.

Is it too much to ask for an explanation on how "worth" is measured? Once we have done this then can we move on and decide what measure of worth is the optimum that everyone should then either aspire to or be forced to become.

It seems to be an utterly ridiculous concept but I am sure the intellects Old Sas can explain with the help of some founding fathers.
