It doesn't mention anything about intelligence or wealth. Also their definition of men would shock most today as it only included free citizens. So our asylum seekers and immigrants would be excluded.

If you can accept the concept that genetics and variations in the womb can change significant factors in a person's make-up such as hair colour and sexual preference. Then you have to understand it will affect the brain and emotional development. So everyone is created different in these matters. There are plenty of famous men & women with obscure and even poverty stricken siblings.

But there is also a history of great achievers having achieving siblings, is that nature or nurture? There is plenty of research that twins separated at birth have similar skills in some traits despite no history in their adoptive parents.

We don't talk about such things as some nutters used the idea to murder millions. We can't even say that those with African genes will be physically better suited to running than a European despite the medals consistently going to those with African ancestry.

Some people will be less well equipped to deal with certain tasks and they have no choice in it due to genetics.

Some will have a poor home life. If your parents are high achievers you may copy them.

If you live in an area where there are no opportunities may not have the chance to make your mark.

You may be ill.

Is it too much to ask for an explanation on how "worth" is measured? Once we have done this then can we move on and decide what measure of worth is the optimum that everyone should then either aspire to or be forced to become.

It seems to be an utterly ridiculous concept but I am sure the intellects Old Sas can explain with the help of some founding fathers.

Forgive me for mentioning what most will realise is a complete truism; but it doesn't seem at all obvious to people like Sasguru.

Worth is contextual, rather than absolute. In particular, if every supposedly worthless person was eliminated, then a load of people formerly not so would themselves become worthless, and so on.

For example, if every chronically sick person was killed, then Sasguru's skills at totting up pharmaceutical stats would become superfluous and he would be pretty much worthless.
