My last IB gig was mostly writing apps for dumping massive amounts of data from the DB into excel spread sheets. Soul destroying stuff really. Excel was king and the notion of taking whatever logic they had on their spread sheets and placing it in an application was never going to be on the menu. Of course there was always stale data issues with folk passing round 2 year old files.

What these low-rate third-rate provincial geeks who work for substandard clients in Swindon and the NE don't realise is that no-one gives a fook if they've mastered the arcane points of C++.
It's all about models to make money ....Hard Brexit now!
