My wife's iMac is still going strong since 2009, perhaps since Jobs passed on and innovation vacuum man took over the quality has suffered. Also why didn't you just buy a thunderbolt display if it was simple to be used as a monitor (maybe they weren't available when you bought this).Comment

I didn't buy it. it was a gift. I hate Apple operating systems.
