The law is generally less lenient on repeat offenders, why should CUK be any different? Context and past behaviour are important, no one post should be taken in a vacuum.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
Where does the law stand on those repeat offenders who are ignored by the police?Originally posted by d000hg View PostThe law is generally less lenient on repeat offenders, why should CUK be any different? Context and past behaviour are important, no one post should be taken in a vacuum.Comment

I want to agree with SAS.Originally posted by sasguru View PostThere are rules applied on the professional forum which AFAIK are followed strictly.
General is a sandpit to let off steam, cope with boredom, have a laff etc surely.?

Agreed. I get an instant day off for abusing users in the prof forums nowdays. No more second chances or warnings. Seems a lot more lenient in here.Originally posted by d000hg View PostThe law is generally less lenient on repeat offenders, why should CUK be any different? Oh yes, the great "someone moved one of MFs posts to Light Relief debacle". Anyway, why shouldn't there be public division between mods. Not that I've seen any evidence of it, other than this post.
Got anyone in mind?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostWhere does the law stand on those repeat offenders who are ignored by the police?Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

there is a large difference between having a laff and purposefully winding someone up - especially if you are just pushing the same old buttons day after day
if you are gonna rip another poster make it entertaining.Comment

That rather depends on the user, doesn't it? The most recent example i saw resulted in the post being moved to General after the abuse began, so that further abuse could be poured in, when the post was a legitimate question.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostAgreed. OK, the OP has posted in Professional forums a lot, but the point stands that the thread in question seemed to be a real query that could benefit others.Comment

I notice that you're pulling up posts from 3 years ago FAQQer.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostEvidently not, otherwise this kind of thing happens:
There is no dissent between the mods. I agree with NAT and he agrees with me on our modding decisions.
(RH is a ninja, in and out before you know it...)
The only way you might get the consistancy you seem to crave is when only 1 person moderates and even that can alter if they are busy or have real-world issues to contend with (sometimes the only way to deal with misbehaviour when you are busy IRL is to ban immediately).
So that would only be smoothed out by Admin paying us to do it full time (and frankly he can't afford it...).
So you're just stuck with us and our 'right in spirit' but inevitable occasional inconsistent modding I'm afraid."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
