well if they tank and we have to rescue them then it will allow us to equalise spending. The SNP will never get voted in again!

If they succeed it might be the kick up the arse we need.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Well I guess if they get independence it'll be all hands to the pump so they'll all have to sod off up there to help out.

How is having to bail Scotland out good for our economy? It's not like they'd decide to become un-independent (surely)

Scotland's economy is in a far better place than England's as a whole, whole swathes of the place are economic wastelands. Outside of making cars for the Indians and Japanese is there any manufacturing?

Them leaving might be initially good due to the work needed.

Long term its a pity but they seem determined. I suspect they will keep demanding a referendum until they get the answer they want like the EU!

IF it screws up then it will probably drag us down. That will be their choice and then ours.

You always seem to make clairvoyant like predictions on how this will turn out despite clearly having absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Weapons, satellite components, aerospace engines, control software for everything from satellites to formula one cars, yes, quite a lot actually.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

                  Software is manufacturing now?

I always find it quite funny how people with absolutely no clue on manufacturing and engineering think that formula one is an industry of any national bearing.

When do the English get the vote on getting rid of Scotland?

Personally I don't care if they stay or go - I will except whichever makes them whine less.
