A lot of phones seem to be getting into the old PC trick of coming up with ever larger (but pointless) numbers to dazzle customers with, like 13 megapixel cameras on a phone with a tiny little sensor, or full HD screens, 1080p on a 5" screen. It's getting silly but the phones aren't getting better. I doubt I'll get the new iPhone, but I won't be getting an S4, One Max, or any of the others either.
The last time I was interested in a phone it was because I'd been on a date with a hot blonde girl with enormous boobs. I think it was a Nokia.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I see the finger print scanner uses radio frequency rather than optics to map the skin.

One wonders if this new sensor will allow other measurements such as heart rate, and so on.

Oh ski tracks, just reminded myself the season is approaching. Oooh

The gold model is primarily aimed at markets where gold is still seen as classy rather than Footballer's-Wives'-Bathroom-Fittings-tacky. You know, that 99.9999% of the world that isn't the south-east of England. Should go down well in Mumbai and Alderley Edge

64-bit ARM chip in a phone? Oh, yes! As my 3GS (which I only got around to upgrading from iOS 4 to iOS 6 over the weekend) has now dropped off the support chart, I shall be visiting the Apple Store sometime after the 20th, for a (tasteful-in-my-milieu) grey one

It's interesting how many apparently IT literate people are still fawning over android. Why would you want to buy something that is now the single largest attack vector on the market for malware?

If they can afford it. I thought the whole point of this new release was to target the emerging markets, i.e. India and China (where they're doing another press/media announcement) yet the only phone that these markets can reasonably afford is the 5c, so no gold one...

If you can afford gold you can afford a 5s

Wonder if it can be defeated with cellotape like a lot of finger print sensors...
