Its the sort of thing you could negotiate as a remote job and take the cash as a bonus.

not too bad when permie jobs out of town are offering <£30k.
          * 40% tax, leaving £34k, less living expenses + car. 3 * your profit and you too can afford somewhere like this:

Ranelagh Road, Weymouth, Dorset DT4, 2 bedroom flat for sale - 29926781 | PrimeLocation

Gosh I feel sorry for myself and I've only just looked at the pictures.

            You don't ask you don't.

If using an agent I say one rate for home working another for on-site. Client love that. Now go forth and be free.

Feck me. I hope you've got a good accountant to do your accounts. You're hopeless with numbers.

The gig might suit someone quite nicely if they've paid off their mortgage and want something to tick over without travelling.

that's a lot more than 80% of the population earn.

We forget that anyone paying higher rate tax is doing well compared to most.

It's bigger than your Munich pad. And I think they might have a better kettle.

Yeah, there are still lots of (reasonably) experienced people on salaries in the mid-£20k range, though I don't know if that's the case in Weymouth. £31/hr is quite a lot in the grand scheme of things, juicy contracting gigs can really screw up your appreciation of money sometimes.
