Yeah, there are still lots of (reasonably) experienced people on salaries in the mid-£20k range, though I don't know if that's the case in Weymouth. £31/hr is quite a lot in the grand scheme of things, juicy contracting gigs can really screw up your appreciation of money sometimes.
