10 years ago I'd say they are supporting civilians who were gassed, but today I'd just say they are supporting USA in that if USA said something is red line before attack then, if such red line was crossed or seen to be crossed, the attack happens.

The whole US/UK intervention is just an excuse for the Americans to attack one of Iran's key allies.

Why can't the Americans just be honest about it and why does Britain need to be involved?

I cant see how its in the UK national interest. I like the idea of giving the military a run out every ten years or so, but this will be ten years plus without a break. The sort of stuff we did when we had an empire
        its mad

Two reasons - UK has got useful assets in the area, and this way action does not look like unileral.

All hail Obama - the winner of Nobel Prize for Peace!!!

I think Cameron's lost it and is grasping at straws to get his moment on the world stage.

Shame. I remember that day well back in 2010 when I was sat in my car outside McDonalds in Didcot. I put my burger down and stopped eating as I listened to his "big society" speech and thought that here's a man that I could vote for.

Certainly not going to bother again.

I don't blame you. In Fact , if I were you, I would be livid.

The burgers are definately smaller, the fries are more skinny and the amount of packaging has got worse. I might even go for a burger king these days

There is no solution. Its not our war. Its not our country. Bullets, gas, phosphorous bombs, napalm, land mines, whatever the locals use its none of our business.

Once again Germany is the only sensible country in Europe. Keeping well out of it.

Meanwhile we get the excitable child-man William Hague who has been trying to get us into the Syrian war for months. I love the way Hague puts on his 'serious face' when it's Christmas come early for him.

Why isn't he Prime Minister instead of glorious war leader and pie muncher Dave Cameron?
