Once again Germany is the only sensible country in Europe. Keeping well out of it.

Meanwhile we get the excitable child-man William Hague who has been trying to get us into the Syrian war for months. I love the way Hague puts on his 'serious face' when it's Christmas come early for him.
Give me a child man william hague before any idiot who thinks wars are nothing more than a few idiots chucking spears at each other within neatly set out borders

You really couldn't make this crap up.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.....

More people will due and suffer because of these cronies but at the same time the irony of it is just funny - Tony Blair, the ambassador for peace and in the middle east of all places!

What a complete and utter joke.

Obama is not a war mongerer like Bush was. It's a bit of a no win situation though, if they don't do anything they are sending a message that Assad can get away with this, if they do something they risk destabilizing the region even more and being dragged into another war.

If there was decent evidence that it was Assad what would you do?

Possibly, very possibly, hit the chemical weapons facilities, but only after deliberation with those who know what happens when a chemical weapons factory explodes. Or possibly hit Assad's house or command centres. Possibly, but I wouldn't want to decide very easily. I would look more critically then B Liar or Bushmonkey and I'd want evidence that I can sow to the whole world making it bleeding obvious that Assad's people fired the chemical weapons.

Exactly! There is no decent evidence! Obama is not the guy making the decisions, there is a foreign policy and bigger powers at play! At least bush was thick and kind of believed in what he was doing, Obama is fully aware that this is nothing to do with chemical weapons....

Obama can read, apparently; that makes him a lot more credible than Bush.

Worse than that. They way he's swanning round the Mediterranean as the guest of multi-billionaires aboard their floating gin palaces whilst making the case for an attack on Syria is, well, almost Bond villainesque IMO.

I wonder if one of those multi-billionaires might decide he's a twat and push him into the sea.

I can't see David Geffen doing that somehow...

...actually I'm surprised in a way that David Geffen is the type to have a multimillion pound luxury yacht in which he likes to luxuriate whilst entertaining the likes of Blair. Thought he was some kind of hippy...

Edit: According to Wikipedia, Geffen bought his current yacht, Pelorus, from Roman Abramovich's missus for $300 million in 2011
