I would be interested to know why the anti-gay brigade feel that gay homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry. And I mean real reasons i.e. not hiding behind 'the bible says marriage is between a man and a woman' carp. Seems the only real reason is that they feel gay people are on a lower level than them.

If only someone had started a 200-post thread on the issue, as well as multiple other threads.Originally posted by GB9 View PostI would be interested to know why the anti-gay brigade feel that gay homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry. How incredibly condescending. Yes in Islam, depending on how you interpret the ancient teachings, it's ok to kill an infidel?Originally posted by d000hg View PostIf only someone had started a 200-post thread on the issue, as well as multiple other threads. How incredibly condescending. So what you're saying, is if you believe in the bible, it's ok to have these hatreds?
So any religious teachings, is this the same, or just yours?Comment

Presumably because they're anti gay? Not such a difficult leap of logic.Originally posted by GB9 View PostI would be interested to know why the anti-gay brigade feel that gay homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry.
Why is it crap? Is it because the bible doesn't say very much at all about the civil institution of marriage.Originally posted by GB9 View Post... i.e. not hiding behind 'the bible says marriage is between a man and a woman' carp. ...
Or is it just carp because you don't believe in cod?Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Good spot. Just avoiding "Anyone who generalises is an idiot."Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostI've no problem with straight homosexuals marrying
Its not a real reason though, is it. Just want someone to come out and say "I don't believe in gay marriage because I am prejudiced. Seems the only real reason.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostPresumably because they're anti gay? Not such a difficult leap of logic.

And no I don't believe in any form of Cod, Haddock or otherwise. Hence I find it disturbing that people actually have views based upon these beliefs. I'm sick of people being allowed to use their religious beliefs as an excuse for not following the same laws as everyone else.Comment

Marriage is an institution to protect children. Since homosexualists can't conceive children, it's pointless to grant them a "right" they don't need.Originally posted by GB9 View PostI would be interested to know why the anti-gay brigade feel that gay homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry. THe bible doesn't say you have to be a bigot, it says marriage is between one man and one woman. You are the one who claims that this is bigoted.Originally posted by GB9 View PostIts not a real reason though, is it. "The Bible says I must be a bigot, so I will be".
And if marriage and religion are man-made contrivances, your whole "not a real reason" argument means nothing. Marriage means nothing in the first place. For that matter, bigotry is a human invention too.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
