Used to work with a couple of them who were meant to be the second line support for my app, they would just ignore raised issues and not inform anyone, clearly they did not want to be the bearer of bad news. When the problem got to you it was by management with a "why is this not being looked at".
When you asked the 2 of them why they never communicated the issue they would just put on stupid grins and say "I'm sorry I don't understand, can you repeat"Comment

Don't know what's it like like now, but judging from the high level shaming of German politicians who plagiarised their PhDs, I'm guessing lots of German degrees are as worthless as the ones we created here from from the 90s onwards.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

The Germans haven't been that good at maths since they removed the Jews.*
*obligatory for this thread, grossly racist statement.
Although they advertise for Brits, they don't actually get what they want primarily because its so expensive for them to get here and then live on the rate they're offered without doing dodgy tax deals (see the professional forums ad nauseum for idiots who try) that they employ East Europeans, who also tend to be able to speak German, for much less and are actually much better...“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

TO be honest if you are good and have not had any issues with getting work then the Bob invasion has probably been a good thing, clients are still willing to pay out decent sums to get in high value people with good technical skills and nobody is getting trained to replace us. The workforce is diminishing and ageing.
For the country that is a disaster, contractors are probably the most likely to grow out an idea into a workable business. I just don't know why the politicians cannot see that.Comment
