    If you're on the express route, you can be quite far north very quickly. Newcastle is only 3hrs away from King's Cross though that train only stops at Newcastle, Durham (no idea why), York and Doncaster before getting into the south. Still, it does mean I could have a pretty stress-free weekly commute and even pop home mid-week should I want to.
