Well, according to the 2011 census, the city I live in has a 45.1% white British population. 18.6% of the population identify themselves as Muslim, with 15.2% Hindu and 4.4% Sikh.

We're not. But you seem to think that this would be helped by creating a barrier that essentially encourages the corrupt ones and discourages the honest (but not wealthy) hard-worker. Your idea is just not as great as you thought it was.

Well 16,1% of my town are foreigners of which 417 are British (13th in the list) with 11 of those being females under the age of 18. Over the age of 18 there are 117 women to 275 men. Interestingly enough with most of the Easter Bloc countries (i.e. Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, etc.) there are more women here than men. Also you think you're worried about immigration, Germany has the highest immigration rate in the whole EU.

Ah yes. Another person apparently arguing that because we already have our own problems it is sensible to import more. No it isn't. We should be reducing the tensions in our own society, not expanding them. We don't have any duty to foreign nationals and the only ones we should take in the are law-abiding high earners who are committed to our society's major values like democracy.

In any case, if you are equating the views of Bob Crow or Nick Griffin to those of some like Hamza, you are seriously deluded. Total twats they may be but neither of them, to my knowledge, is bent on imposing religious rules from some daft sacred text on Britain, opposes women's rights or believes in some of the other backward nonsense that migrants bring with them. Try a search for witchcraft and Uganda or Nigeria for example. Our own society has a long way to go and we don't yet have real democracy or sexual equality but there is no reason to be taking it backwards.

PS In any case, migrants are not politically balanced, they mostly a) support candidates from their own ethnic group or b) if there is no such candidate they support the Labour party or other left wing, like Galloway. Because of the structure of our consituencies they can also have a disproprortionate effect on elections here and elsewhere in Europe. Why should those on the right not be expected to resent that?

There is already a de facto system whereby the rich can live here anyway - if you want to see their contribution to society go to Bijou's nightclub in Chelsea.

It kind of hurts your argument when you make sweeping statements like this.
A breakdown of voting patterns with data might help, but I know plenty of ethnic minority people are natural Tory voters.
