She's £10k short. If you can manage to live within the benefits and save up for XMas, good for you. Making people miserable might push them into work. Or it might just push them to drugs... in deprived areas kids are a problem because they don't have things to do other than hang about on the streets. Giving them 'luxuries' like a warm room with games in reduces crime and improves their chances of not turning into dirty crims
The way to stop them becoming filthy crims is keeping them busy not give them comfort and free time.
No she has more than enough money apparently (not quite sure how) , so the benefits are too generous. The £26,000 is a cap like 'pays up to' on job adverts.
You are missing the point everyone is paying this money to her, not just you & I at the top end of the wage range.
This girl is being kept in relative comfort by grannies afraid to turn on the heating because it costs too much on their pension, the private one they contributed to all their life that government raped and she would have been better off blowing her contributions on Booze. Even the pensioners without a private pension but worked all their life are worse off than her.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

Why would kids be on the streets if it was cold outside?
Cut benefits to the bear minimum and scrap the minimum wage. When people are faced with the reality that you have to work to survive, they might start doing it.Comment

What would be good would be a debit card that allows you to pay rent, elec/gas, food, clothes but no fags, booze, hairdressers, false nails, tattoos, ipads, TVs etc.
After all surely things like this are the basics and everything else is a luxury?
For a kid from a rough council estate in the welsh valleys Im turning into a bit of a Tory here mind!!! :-)Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment
