At what point in the past do you think that was morally right ?
Maybe at a point when a leader not taking an opportunity to marry the offspring of the ruler of a neighbouring tribe would lead to that neighbour making some other possibly hostile alliance and likely cause bloodshed and possible loss of the former leader's kingdom.

Also, when you can have multiple wives, marrying an underage bride doesn't imply the marriage need be consumated immediately. It might have been just a betrothal.

Furthermore as to the Holy Prophet’s marriage with Sayyidah Aisha, something people will notice is that the completion of the marriage was done when Sayyidah Aisha was 9 years old, not when she was 6, and there is a reason for that. The reason why this happened is because Sayyidah Aisha had been through puberty by the age of 9, and in Islam a female who under-goes puberty is considered a lady and is fit for marriage.
If we read the hadiths, we find that right before Sayyidah Aisha got married off to the Holy Prophet that she was sick and not feeling too well:
      Narrated Sayyidah Aisha:

      The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, “Best wishes and Allah’s Blessing and a good luck.” Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah’s Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.” {Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 234}

So as we can see, Sayyidah Aisha got ill and her body was going through some changes, indicating that she was going through her puberty.

Equally, there are many African (and other) tribes who consider puberty to be the catalyst (and the bar) for marriage. Puberty can happen within a very wide range of years.

But what any of that has to do with the systematic abuse of (mostly disadvantaged) children by the people whose vocation is to protect them I don't know. Here we have a political, judicial, governmental and secret services scandal that goes deep into the very roots of each of those organisations - and is still there by all accounts, that unless anyone of substance get a grip of, will go forever unpunished.

Just look at some of the scandals over police statements, institutional corruption that have come to light recently. How many of us who had no personal interest in Hillsborough would have believed how much corruption there was? How far would the system go to protect these scumbags? All the way, I would suggest.

Typically, with all these scandals, like whole councils and police forces that have ignored this for so long in certain parts of the country, it's not the foot soldiers that are the problem, it is almost always the bosses.

That's what they usually have young boys for, to fill the gap so to speak
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Sorry for going OT. Maybe the Westminster paedos should say the boys they buggered had reached puberty so it's all ok?

Why isn't this story headlines on every news programme?
Is the cover-up still going on?
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

They're waiting for official evidence to be lost again, so they can report on the cover up ???

The cover up undoubtedly is but with the perps dying by the week, soon there will be no point in finding out who actually burned the evidence over all these years.

Presumably so as not to compromise the enquiry by putting all evidence out there. Leading witnesses and the like...
