Or to take the heat off the past, and probably current, government ministers who were/are part of that paedophile ring.I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. Apparently staff at Stoke Mandeville Hospital knew what Jimmy Savile was up to link And he abused patients from 8 upwards and staff.
One of the complaints of abuse is believed to have been made to a nurse, a ward sister and a hospital manager."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

This is what I simply cannot get my head around.
How is it possible that these people (including the entirety of certain local council executives AND police forces) swept it under the carpet and are STILL doing so!!! And this pox ridden government cannot even get an investigation off the ground.Comment

Celebrity status, person endorsement by thatcher, people on the ground being scared to properly report because of this, senior managers refusing to believe any hint of suspicion etc.Originally posted by tractor View PostThis is what I simply cannot get my head around.

The report current airing on BBC News seems like an investigation is 'off the ground.'I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Because the establisment paedos don't want the Saville enquiry to possibly look into their abuse , they have the power to make any enquiry meaningless and they're using itOriginally posted by tractor View PostThis is what I simply cannot get my head around.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Given the failings of so called responsible organisations over the Savile saga, similar activities are allowed to continue on an almost industrial scale for ostensibly the same reason as Savile's was allowed to continue - people too scared, it's the gummint innit etc etc.Originally posted by BolshieBastard View PostCelebrity status, person endorsement by thatcher, people on the ground being scared to properly report because of this, senior managers refusing to believe any hint of suspicion etc.

Jimmy Savile was well known to sue publications, threaten to and actually ruin the lives of those who reported him/spoke up against him. He use to spend Christmas with Thatcher, and we know that people were moved around in her government who were suspected paedos.Originally posted by tractor View PostThis is what I simply cannot get my head around.

In regards to the local council executives AND police forces - I'm sure there are paedos amongst them who would join together and do the same. I know that the few perverted and criminal councillors in my local areas have be been brought to justice since this stuff has come out, so for them all to be obstructive means there must be more than a couple of them involved."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
