I can confirm that Pimlico is a nice place to stay.
But if contracts are going to be in the City (or even Canary Wharf) then maybe Islington could be the place to be. Northern line down to the city, change to the DLR for Canary Wharf. And it's handy for the Piccallilo line to Heathrow.
Although a bit pricey, lots of good bars, restaurants, shops etc in Islington.
Speaking gibberish on internet talkboards since last Michaelmas. Plus here on Twitter

I've lived in Pimlico before and recommend it - good for central government clients as its walking distance from Whitehall, Westminster & Victoria.

Currently own a place in Canada Water / Rotherhithe (Zone 2 - SE16) which is excellent for the City (Overground to Shoreditch High Street) and Canary Wharf (by boat or Jubilee Line).
Seems like this Pimlico is quite popular, already 2 + posts. I will also check it out

Apologies if someone has covered this but is it your intention to stay around/in London at weekends?

Ok. So you'll be needing more than just someone's spare room(Mon-Fri) and a "real" flat/house share. Understood.

Ah yeah, I would need a full flatshare Mon-Sun.
