You do know all those playing fields, sports facilities, nice dorms and well paid Oxbridge teachers don't come cheap.

Usually right-wingers pride themselves on their financial sense.

Your cretinism today is in a different league and your Village Idiot title has been well earnt.
I am sure you have time so here is something for you to do. Work out the cost of welfare and the cost in health services, police social workers in supporting and patching up the mess of public services. You can do it on a sliding scale.

Then work out the cost of building multiple schools along with the savings that would be made in social workers, crime, police, healthcare and housing.

It would indeed be a considerable cost building the infrastructure but the savings of empowering people to no longer have to rely on the state would be enormous.

When you have done come back and report to us. I hope you manage to complete the report before the easyjet flight to Geneva leaves.

And you've done the sums have you?
You know your teachers spent years trying to drum basic stuff into your thick noggin and failed.
So why do you suddenly think you've got the ideas of an Einstein rather than just posting the drivel of a mediocrity?
It's a problem with many on here.
      Hard Brexit now!

I am so pleased that you are the consensus of opinion on here. As I said trot off and do the figures and report back

You are aware Dodgy that Frank Field is a left wing politician, and Iain Duncan Smith's plans were watered down by the current administration because they cost too much.

The Nordic* countries policies show that if you want to make people responsible for themselves as adults by giving everyone a decent education while a child and decent healthcare while a child, including the thick ones, it costs a lot.

*They all have slightly different policies but generally if you are under 18 you get proper and completely free nursery care, schooling and healthcare. Plus state intervention very early if your parents are useless f***wits to stop you costing the state more in terms of prison sentences and criminal damage to property/people when you are older.

I do know that Frank Field is a leftie. As for the Scandinavian model I am not so sure that its cradle to grave welfare system helps. I do business in Denmark and my client will not recruit Danes because they will not take responsibility and their jobs are so well protected that there is a culture of entitlement there. They are also a nation of curtain twitchers and if a neighbour dares to buy an expensive car they are straight onto their inland revenue.

So we have the word of a single business man with discriminatory recruitment practices on this do we?

Then why have you spent this entire thread attacking "lefties"?

Most adults including people like teachers and social workers who you would think as typical lefties want people to be able to stand on their own two feet.

Unfortunately there are some in society who are simply too thick to do that, too screwed up or too lazy. Trying to work out how to separate the too lazy from the other 2 groups is the issue particularly when they are responsible for other people.

It's the masters i.e. the likes of the privileged Harriet Harman who put in wishy-washy policies that prevent teachers teaching kids to read or do Maths properly etc.

I said Nordic not Scandinavian there is a difference (look it up) and they don't all have the same policies.

All the countries intervene at every level for children but not for adults. For example quite a few of the countries institutions don't offer permanent jobs to people as a way to limit employment rights.

I refer to "lefties as a mind set" frank Field like some other lefties genuinely believes that the forces of socialism should help the poorer sectors of society. He believes that welfare and public services should be made to help people who genuinely need this sort of help.
He is not the type of affluent leftie that we have here who thinks that wearing a leftie badge makes them virtuous.

How do you know what I think? Did I become a leftist to make myself feel virtuous despite my high income?

                      hear hear!

I can respect a socialist that lives by his credentials. But its hard to say you are for the people when you are avoiding a union rally fighting for the civil service pensions only to be seen climbing out the back of a millionaires Rolls Royce to go and sit in his directors box to watch football...

What the hell was Ed Millipede thinking that day?

Fact is as long as we are allowed to sterilise them, I am more than happy to pay for the great unwashed to drink themselves to death or sleep for the rest of their lives. However The Civil Service will kill this country in another decade or so and that really does need attention...
