      No they wouldn't.

      Sometimes governments have to intervene in markets.

      Oh and I thought the entire point of the EU project is to stop people in certain European countries starting a war with other European countries.

        BRITAIN’S membership of the European Union is costing every household in the country an average of £750 a year, new research reveals
        Yes, interesting. Unfortunately The story doesn't tell me;
        - who did this research?
        - what methods did they use?
        - which years were included in the research?
        - how did they define expenditure on EU membership? What did they include, what did they leave out?
        - do they mean an average per household or per year?
        And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

          Don't spoil an Express story by asking for facts.

            There are 23,043 Euro civil servants. It seems a lot but Hampshire County Council has over 46,000.

              rofl... Go to south hetton, Cumbria, Bolton, Bradford, .... etc etc etc...

              The "ebb and flow" of the market has mysteriously missed most of the north (Leeds excepted)

                  And exactly where are examples of this that have worked?

                  And whilst there have been no wars there will be an increase in public unrest around the regions that may leave a vacuum for another Hitler to emerge.
