Look, it's like this - the Govt controls the Parliament and it's their job to get such laws that would make it possible to put guys like that on the first plane out. It's Govts job to have good enough lawyers who can do such things - it's not like Govt is poor and can't afford well paid lawyers to argue it's way?

I don't believe that the government does control Parliament.

They somehow managed to tax cornish pasties this year and also grannies, perhaps it would be easier for them to get cross party support for immediate deporation of a few named individuals who are not citizens of this country.

He's still just a very naughty boy compared to Blair.

Put him on the first plane to Jordan.

If he is not happy he can sue UK from there - no legal aid and any money he gets sent to his lawyers here or anywhere in EU should be checked for money laundering and terrorism related funding.

Even if he wins in 10 years his compensation will be less than overall costs associated with this pathetic effort to deport somebody who has no right to stay in country in the first place: AFAIK even EU citizens can be barred from UK on grounds of national security: MP of Holland (who is not in Govt there) was stopped from getting into this country few years ago.
There have been are few cases of unlawful removal over the years...actually there was one about two years ago. In each case the person was returned to the UK at tax payers cost. The person sued and got a lot of money.

My wife is currently working on one such case at the moment.

It's not a condescending or a leftie view, but a view that considers other people are worth something. And not in the way an agent would understand.

Refusing to act in a way which knowingly lets even a bad man be tortured is how we demonstrate we are better.

You can do extraordinary rendition without worrying about obeying UK law

For me this illustrates why Dawkins and his ilk have got so much wrong.

Acts that name individuals in this way such as an Act of Attainder have fallen out of use.
