But will also reduce the proportion of men interested, as many don't like dogs or people who smell of dogs.

What breeds of dog are safest for young children? Maybe a nice collie?

They have a lot in common.

You keep lining them up Brillo.

I'd suggest a greyhound - very good with kids.

I just called CM - she says that she will swap Churchill for a box of nappies - just as soon as he gets back from Bridgwater.

            Bull Terrier.

Never will a breed of dog have you crying tears of laughter/pain/frustration in the same breath. Basically a clown in a dog suit but excellent with children.

PM me if your interested in a rescue one.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Plus the fact that fussy dogs will be expected to dine on the finest dog delicacies, which works out the equivalent of visiting Le Gavroche every week.

And the injections, the wood eating, the carpet chewing and vomiting, the Mk42 bunker buster turd explosions over the kitchen floor, the continual leg humping and crotch sniffing, lice, fleas, foul stench of dog breath every morning, escape and evasion tactics at every moment, did I mention the leg humping?

Still more loyal than a cat though.

There is a forum especially for women and what tricks to teach dogs.

If you want something to protect your kids, a Boxer would do the trick. Very patient with them if it gets mauled, but also very protective of them if strangers around

But otherwise get an Irish Setter, they're all completely bonkers so theres never a dull moment

Won't she need the nappies for churchy?
