Just drop the guy a line I sent you. He's good, good value for money and he's unlikely to rip you off until you mention my name and that you're an agent.

Consider getting a proper designer. In general, technical people aren't good designers, and designers aren't technical.

But only if you want people to find you. If the purpose of the website is simply to look respectable (ho ho ho) when calling up companies then there will be little need to worry about it.

Thinking about it find a wordpress host and hunt a suitable theme. for what you want it will do everything you want and let you update it yourself.

Didn't Jobserve used to give away noddy sites if you bought enough adverts.

Even for a recruitment agent it should be easy to buy a domain name, set up a wordpress image on Amazon cloud, load up a theme and add pages and content and point the domain name to that. Its taken me 45 minutes to set up for my plan B.

This is the same agent that repeatedly put up his own personal information, including his name, address, credit card numbers and wife's vital statistics.

As Simon points out, DA is decidedly non-technical

                Oh Dear.

                What's the big idea!

Fancy telling the potential customer how he can get the job done in the time it takes him to read the Richard Littlejohn column and for the price of a new tie.

There was 10K in the next CUK pissup kitty up for grabs.

Interesting. I've been thinking about setting up a site on EC2 but can't quite figure out the costs, any pointers?

When I left my last job I was accused of pinching the database until someone pointed out to the new manager that I would'nt know how to use the printer let alone bring the information up on the screen

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)

Micro instances (fine if the code is decent and you're not getting that many visitors are free for the 1st year with a new account).

Most of the micro instances I use cost me $10 or so a month (windows based spot instances).

I can provide far more gory details if you require but specific questions are easier to answer.
