Was driving to work this morning along a two lane road with one lane as a bus lane. The non bus lane wasn't moving and the bus lane was empty except for a solitary cycist. So I went up the bus lane behind him. Halfway up the road he notices me and stops get of his bike and starts shouting abuse saying I should merge into the non moving queue. I told him to go F off and eventually he went.

So this guy wanted to have a whole lane to himself at morning rush, I should have ran over the odious twat.

Bus lanes on a two lane road are a disgrace, there is probably 1 bus/bike to every 100 cars yet they get 50% of that bit of road.

I am a cyclist myself - but he should have minded his own business. You were not affected him so why should he care?

I think the idea is to discourage car usage. But as I neither use a car or bus at rush hour I don't care.

BTW did the bus lane have cameras? Sometimes buses carry cameras too....

I especially dislike cyclists who don't wear lights when it's dark - and there are a staggering amount of them.

There are no cameras, I go down that lane all the time when its busy. Im not sitting in a line of traffic like all the other lemons while there is an empty lane right next to me. If the police stop I would say noone was letting me in.
