Have to agree with Bogeyman here. I've lived in Handsworth for many years and the attitude of the average muslim in the street is that Britain got what was coming to it and not before time. I think there is a great deal of difference in the opinion that a muslim friend or casual acquaintance will give to a white person in a business or pleasantly social setting and the opinions they pass between each other in areas where they feel secure to say what they like (such as Handsworth).

After my travels around the world i have concluded that muslims everywhere in the world from asia to america think the same, which is:
1.occupy israel,kashmir,chechnya etc
2.convert/kill the non-muslims (whatever convenient)
3.rape or take away non-muslim women
4.follow sharia law
5. If you follow 1-4 you are guaranteed 72 virgins after you blowup .
There may be a few exceptions like dubai,uae etc

Please guys go read the Koran. It is a relatively small book and you will get the general idea.
I would recommend a study of the traditions too but that is a much bigger job. The traditions are used as a guide as to how Muslims should behave as it is basically the story of Mohammed which shows how he behaved.

There are a couple of other books about Islam but they do have a certain bias depending on who wrote them.

Snaw: Most Muslims I ever met are nice people always willing to chat and accomodate, many run succesful businesses. I grew up next door to our local Indian community. As kids we spent our summers playing cricket with these kids and we went to school with them. I had many friends amongst this community. As they have grown older they have become less western and more Muslim reverting from fashion to tradition.

I suspect most are biding their time hoping that it never comes to out and out war on the streets in their lifetime or that they can gain political majority without resort to violence and that the infidels will never have to be put to the sword.
They are like the rest of us. Anything for an easy life.
None of that changes the fact that the Koran and the traditions tell them and us what they must do as Muslims. Please read it, it will change your viewpoint. It may give you more faith in Islam being peaceful, then again it may make you worry like it did with me.
I find it quite ironic because I started my study to understand the friends I had and what I learned came as something of a shock.
