Today I did the swimming distance for the first time - 3.8km in 2 hours 2 minutes. That was after a 4.5 mile run and a 5 mile cycle. Now to start building up the cycling distance.

BP is your swimming in a pool? I imagine the difference between 4Km doing lengths in a nice pool and 4Km in a lake in the dark in a wetsuit is pretty drasticOriginally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

I ws looking at having a nice hiking holiday doing the Haute Route this summer with gf Chef, while researching about best routes I came across a blogger who began his hike on the same day as the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc began..
100 miles non stop "run" around the Tour do Mont Blanc hiking path (normally a 9 day hike) in 20 hrs at best or 30-45hrs normal... non-stop!!!

Impressive stuff, I think I could manage it in 17 days with a few days break between each stage.
Good luck with the event and the training beforehand.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

- You can't have a break and hold on to the side

I intend to do all the training I can - but it is going to have to fit around the kids.Comment
