Though if the battery on the jumpee is totally screwed or open circuit, you may find very high voltages across the electronics.
Is that why it hurts when I attach them to LadyUK's nipples? Oddly enough I get a pain in my left testicle around the same time as well...

On the large nuts - you'll probably need to pull back the plastic cap on the top one a little.

Start the donor car engine 1st, then attach positive, then negative. After you've done that, start the 2nd engine.

Once the 2nd engine is running disconnect the jump cables, and leave it running for a few mins. Then do a few miles so the alternator can charge up the battery.

If it won't start again, either your alternator is screwed, or your battery.

BTW, he could have bought a battery charger and charged it by now.

That is what I want to know. So it clips the large nuts. The bottom one large nuts are not exactly grip worthy, in the sense, they are held together by some kind of clamp. So where does the jump lead clamp go in the bottom battery ?

I have one, but the car is parked at a spot where the battery charger cables cant reach, so I need to start and bring a bit closer.
