Around the little nut holding the clamp on. Anywhere where there is electrical contact to the battery pole. If they are dirty you can give them a quick rub with some wire wool beforehand.

(This is another thread that could attract the wrong kind of search engine traffic.)

Oh FFS. This is mainly an IT-Contractor forum. Most people here probably have a degree in some technical discipline. How can remedial level 12V DC electrics prove to be such a challenge?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

That's when you get the starting handle out.

You do have a starting handle don't you?
I started my Minor on the handle a fair few times in winter months. A great idea, but with a high percentage of cars having transverse engines, sadly, no longer practical.

When I were a lad I used to use the family 2.25 Land Rover 110 as a bonking vehicle - trouble was its two series connected 6 volt batteries were always flat & especially so in the Winter
I did once try using the starting handle to get it running until me old man pointed out that it was there only to assist in turning the engine for maintenance & I would never get a diesel started that way (I think he was amused by the amount of sweat produced in trying though)
I ended up bump starting down the hill

Maybe you could share experiences with Jordan?

Like many men, Jordan Witham is obsessed with his car. But while most boy racers would draw the line at a wax and polish, his obsession has gone into overdrive.

The 20 year old is in love with his Volkswagen Beetle – and has been having sex with it for four years.

Sex with car - Closer Online

It does nothing for me personally - but whatever floats your boat.....
