I believe in 2007 Margert Hodge tabled a debate about including the dragon or some other emblem of Wales on the flag. It was agreed that this should happen but the size of this was directly proportional to the Welsh input in the union.

A dragon about the size of a 20p piece was subsequently added to all Union flags but due to a design fault it was placed in exactly the same place as the hole that is punched out to allow the flag to be raise on a flag pole. This hole being approximately the size of a 20p piece.

So OP, your statement isn't completely true....

Once Scotland leaves the others will use it as a test case and follow suit.

So the new flag will be . . .

You're not naive enough to believe Wales will ever be able able to stand on it's own two feet are you?

Does Wales have any kind of industry to rival Scotland's booze and beef, or is it just a mish-mash of random stuff?

Maybe N.I. could join with Eire if they leave us? That would be great fun.
