You are talking about enterprise, not capitalism. Capitalists make a living through capital, rather that work
A property owner may put a lot of effort into managing his properties, he might make his tenants happy. A manufacturer may put the same effort into making some unecessary ornament. Is the latter really more useful to society than the former? Most capitalism also is not about very wealthy people but about pensions funds etc managing the savings of ordinary people who have provided for their retirement.bloggoth

Enterprise is all well and good while you're young and still have your looks. But it's getting tough nowadays. Rates are down and I can't be so choosy about my assignments anymore. I think a little bit of socialism is just what I need in my old age.Comment
