He's not as distinguished as Mörner, and doesn't have an immense reputation which would give him the luxury to be outspoken against the political establishment.

I find it interesting how the debate was supposed to be between scientists and non-scientists, and time and time again we find not only are the AGW non-believers scientists, they are often more distinguished scientists than their counterparts.

        Dr. John Hunter:
You are aware that Antarctica is gaining ice over 72% of the ice sheet. The most pessimistic estimate would be a contribution of 0.1 mm per year in the sea level, i.e. negligible.

Mass Balance of the Antarctic ice sheet

As for the Greenland ice sheet it is tiny compared to to the Antarctic ice sheet, and rather like Antarctica is some areas there is ice loss and in others there is a gain.

Your graph conveniently only shows 7 years up until 2010

The latest data shows Greenland gaining ice. More ice on Greenland in March 2011 than in March 2010.

Probably goes up and down when they monitor it long enough.

That sounds rather fishy to me considering how little water density changes with heat, and how high it's specific heat is. Only a gut reaction, maybe TW can do the sums

Forgive the school boy questions, but......
              As I remember it.
Water evaporates and rises into the atmosphere.
              Water vapour cools.
              Rain falls.

If the atmosphere is warming surely it will hold more water?
              Just saying like.

No you missed the point. Look at Greenland!

What do you see? more water (ice actually because bloody cold).

You have to be careful with this one.

as it cools, water, like every other substance, condenses. At about 4c water starts to expand gets lighter. And thats why ice floats

BUT -what that means is that ,counter intuitively, sea levels might fall as the temperature rises, and vice versa, depending upon the initial or local conditions

Here's a typical myth on sea level rise:

Here is the description from that low lying Pacific Island Tuvalu
Tuvalu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Because of the low elevation, the islands that make up this nation are threatened by current and future sea level rise.[50]"]
..and what is the observed sea level rise:
