I think it looks great. Although you do need a better chair.
We had some chairs like that but most of them were broke within the year.

The bolts loosen, then someone leans back and the legs break off.

Worst buy in the last few years...

            Suity,

nice idea and I am pleased for you that you have your man den

            but....

with a little thought you could have done so much better,

why oh why did you put it right in front of the house by the patio ?

it has destroyed your garden and your neighbours garden, i'm surprised they
            didn't object to it

secondly, why didn't put it at the far end of the garden straddling the width of the garden ?

it would then have been a nice feature at the bottom of the garden complementing and enhancing
the whole situation and using the available space in the most efficient way,

it would have provided a barrier to whatever is at the bottom of the garden,

with a little imagination to one side of it you could have built a grill area from which you could
sit and look towards the main house with children playing in the garden area in between

instread you've made your place look like Dale Farm

all you need now are some old car wheels there and a propane bottle

very sad, you had such an opportunity to create some beauty and you messed it up

            oh well

            Milan.

Milan - I think the building already existed as a garage, so he didn't erect anything new.

SY - good marks for effort though I agree you want a full-length desk. It might sound naff but you can use a kitchen worktop (3m) and buy special legs for about £5/each to create a huge desk very cheaply... IKEA also sell various accessories to let you hang PCs/cables underneath neatly.

Also, you can now go hide from your family. The biggest result of all.

                well he can't really hide,

cos as the picture shows his Mrs has engineered it so that his chair and desk
are in front of the window so that she can see if he is really working or picking his nose

How can it be a garage conversion? Who has a garage 5 foot from the house in the back garden with no road leading to it?
