Not a verbal comeback but the story of the guy who got caught speeding via a camera got a picture of himself speeding through the post so he sent a picture of a cheque for £40 so they police sent him a photocopy of a pair of handcuffs was pretty clever.
Snopes says this story is true and has been replicated a few times.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment

The sports remarks are not usually witty, more like crass or rude responses to crass and rude questions.
Much prefer the intellectual responses of Twain, Churchill, Marx (Groucho) and Wilde.Just saying like.
where there's chaos, there's cash !
I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

I once heard this story, I don't think it's true but I hope it is!
It's from an old ex-army colleague, when he was serving in Germany, his kid was giving gip in the supermarket and so he gave the little swine a slap.
This German woman sees this and says;
"In Germany we do not hit our Children..."
To which he retorted...
"Well, in Britain we do not gas our Jews...."
Like I say, prolly not true....Comment
