PLan to be implemented. Need to wait another 4 weeks before making a call on the weather for the end of the year.

If the weather is the same as last year then the estimate for sales is £50,000 over 4 weeks for what I have in mind, could clear £15-£20k profit for the month, or get stuck with a garage of snow shovels and sledges for a few years.

I doubt you would be stuck with them for many years as some people expect it to get colder.

Got a call from the pimp this morning to say I have been short listed with one other (who is £30 per day cheaper) and could I match his rate?

I politely declined saying that my rate was made clear from the start.

I regularly get asked to reduce my rate as it's at the higher end & I always reply the same - 'I've already reduced it especially for you as I liked the client and it was a 100% match to my skills. If someone wants to do it cheaper that's up to them, but remember you get what you pay for'

It's an agency hiring for a consultancy who have an end Client. So two sets of commission.

I've not heard from the agency yet, but the consultancy just sent me a text saying it is good news and expect to hear from the agency soon.
