Build cheap jails in the middle of nowhere, say in Scotland, very cheap - no ****ing playstations, if they don't behave well then jail time increases.
I don't think we are allowed to move prisoners around from England to Scotland and vice versa because we have different criminal justice systems.

Also keeping a prisoner in prison for a year is more expensive then sorting a kid out properly before they are 5. However governments are only in power for a short time and so only take a short term view.

Everything is possible, make a deal with Scotland and pay them £1000 for each prisoner per year.

It's only expensive if you do tulip like playstations, cut costs right down - it should not cost much more than some cheap food per year plus salaries of guards - automate things as much as possible.

Prisons are full and the current direction is to be lenient and have them released early. Care in the community and all that. Saves money, which is the main driving force.

Fairly easy to spot contributing factors to the scum-class's general apathy for law when there is no significant retribution.

Only moral values stop people from taking advantage. e.g. If I was stood outside a shop being looted I wouldn't help myself. I've been brought up better and would feel ashamed afterwards.

The failure we're seeing goes all the way back to parenting and schooling.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Turn Anglesey into a prison, Escape From New York style.

But we are talking about English criminals so why are you talking about building prisions in another country?

Because its not one country yet. Its a careful orchestrated plan:

                1) ship all prisoners to the highlands
                2) let Scotland go independent
                3) rebuild Hadrian's wall and don't let anyone escape.

Great that's start a civil war with Scotland.

After all we don't already have one region in conflict in the UK.

If you want them to really suffer, build them in Brum.

The Legal and Justice systems are seperate though, nice try though. Think we will be the ones building the wall to keep all the rioters out. Notice how there were no riots in Scotland? We are civilised nation thats why!
