I'm ok too. Apart from my total bitterness about never getting any bottom sex, which would be grounds for divorce if I ran the country, we get on alright.

In the process of splitting after twenty, yes twenty years. Her decision, not mine. I was very down about it all, until I pulled a bird down the pub, took her home and shagged her.

I'm happily married, though admittedly its only been two years (5 1/2 years together). We've been through the 'honeymoon' phase and come out the other side, luckily still best friends. Improptu s3x isn't what it once was, but when we get round to it it is still great.Originally posted by cswdAm I the only person on this planet who is happily married?
I walk down the road everyday admiring lots of beautiful women. Hell I've been tempted and been close; but I know no-one in the long term could make me more happy than my wife. #puke#Comment

I'm shocked at how blokes seem to feel they HAVE to be in a relationship... I thought that was the domain of women!
I'm a great believer in being single and taking time out for yourself... I think jumping from one relationship to the next is a disaster waiting to happen and I am not surprised in the least that the relationships never work out. After a rather nasty last relationship I've now been single for 2.5years and I can honestly say I've never been happier. I don't have to consider anyone else in my decisions, I can do what I want when I want, if I want a shag then it's not usually that difficult to find or I have my trusty rabbit for a quick fix. Who needs all the grief and misery that comes from having a relationship that you're not really into in the first place?!"Well behaved women rarely make history"

Ditto that! What a bunch of miseries! I'd best have a moan up to keep the girlie reputation intact.Originally posted by janeyI'm shocked at how blokes seem to feel they HAVE to be in a relationship... I thought that was the domain of women!
I'm currently in a relationship, have been for just over 4 years. No intention of getting hitched and the fella is too tied to his family to move a 20min drive away from them to live with me. So, we see each other 2 or 3 times a week and have pottered along ok. Now, I'm starting to get fed up and would like to see a bit of commitment to the relationship. Of course, I'm not helping much because I want to live in a different country and he doesn't, so I reckon the whole thing is doomed anyway.
Personally, I think relationships are ok. They provide a bit of a fun distraction but they're not a long term endeavour. I'm way too annoying for anyone to cope with for a reasonable length of time, and I don't like people enough to want to spend the rest of my life with just one. I loved being single and really miss it at the moment. I hate having to be accountable to someone and having to consider their wants and needs.

totally agree, I have to admit I'm still a bit of an old romantic and I would like to think it's possible to find "the one" but the older I get and the more I see of human nature the more I think I'm better off on my own!!
as for your current situation... run for the hills lady! it's a total no brainer

I also want to live abroad and I'm currently trying to get a migration visa for Oz, which is one of the reasons I'm so anti-relationships at the moment. I don't want anyone giving me cause to have doubts about moving.
Perhaps the reason men are getting so "I need to be in a relationship" is because more and more women are finally saying "actually no I'm much better off on my own" !!!!"Well behaved women rarely make history"
