My mum and dad have been married for around 35 years or so. They bicker like kids and it really winds me up, so they do it more! I think it's great that people do manage to stay together for a long time, I just know it's not for me.

      Not true, Janey.
Some blokes (self included) will shag a barber's shop floor if the pressure in the testes gets too much.

glad you said it and not me... I'd have been berated for being a man hater!

all I can say is I'm not ugly, believe it or not at your will. I've got nothing to prove to you or anyone

I find it highly amusing that the only response you guys can come up with is "you must be ugly then" when a woman says they don't need nor want a man in their life.

I was going to suggest that you & ladymuck were closet bean flickers... but thought that was too obvious

                All blokes.
Ok, ok, hairdressers and 'sensitive new men' may not, but any male with testosterone would shag any bird any time.

Hint (hairdressers also includes male nurses, outreach workers, and others working in feminine roles).
                Why not?

                    To summarise your situation:

You can't find a decent bloke here, so you’re trying to sod off to Oz to see if things are better there.

How do you think running away from your problems is going to help? are aussie blokes that much better? most Aussies I know are very superficial

who said anything about going to Oz to look for a bloke!?

as I said, I dont need a bloke in my life. You really can't get your mind around that concept can you?

I'm astounded that men still seem to find this such a difficult concept. For one thing it is not uncommon for men to take this attitude about women (however it's not uncommon to come across this double standard) and secondly I'd have thought you guys would have loved this attitude since you all complain about clingy women and their demands of commitment from you!!!

the biggest commitment I want in my life is getting myself a pet!!!!
