as I said, I dont need a bloke in my life. You really can't get your mind around that concept can you?
I'm astounded that men still seem to find this such a difficult concept. For one thing it is not uncommon for men to take this attitude about women (however it's not uncommon to come across this double standard) and secondly I'd have thought you guys would have loved this attitude since you all complain about clingy women and their demands of commitment from you!!!
the biggest commitment I want in my life is getting myself a pet!!!!
Or you could spend your life single and you, your genes will not be passed on into the future. I can see situations where this is preferable to entering into unhappy relationships and your value could be in being a favoured Aunt etc. if your siblings have children, but speaking as a Daddy Dalek I know .. believe me I know! how empty a life that would be.
The concept of a man and woman coming together to produce and raise baby Daleks is one that has survived over the ages and is the best model for child rearing.
So in that respect you will need to find a man...Comment

erm, which century are you from?
I applaud people who feel this is what they want to do with their lives and make a rational decision to take this path but I equally applaud people who have enough self-knowledge to be able to decide that having children is not for them. Too many people take the decision to have children way too lightly.
Personally, at this juncture of my life I feel that this isn't the way for me. does that make my life pointless? and if it does then what about all the people in history who have made major contributions to the world but who have remained childless? Are they equally worthless?
I agree that to keep the human race going people must keep having children, but lets face I don't think we're in any danger of the human race as a whole deciding not to have children!"Well behaved women rarely make history"Comment

I'm with Janey on this one. I've been married for six years and miss being single dreadfully.
Then again they do say marriage is one of the few institutions where those inside are trying to get out and those outside are trying to get in.Comment
