You are being scammed then. Alarms can not be connect to the police station. They can only go to private security call centres"A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George Orwell -

Oh come now MM, I had you down as someone who was above the green-eyed monsterOriginally posted by Moscow Mule View Post£1M for a poxy 3 bed Victorian Villa? I know it's got a park at the end of the road, but that's taking the piss.
On another note, look, here's Sas riding down the road on his "busa"

For the same money you can have a much bigger property in one of the leafier boroughs instead of that tiny enclave you live in. However, I suppose you must be happy, as you do go on about it all the time.
Chez Bruce is alright though, try and get in the private dining room (if you can afford it, what with the wife not working and all)."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

I think you've labouring under some unwarranted assumptions. First of all I have a 4-bed Edwardian, not one of those 3 bed Victorians (which incidentally have mostly been extended so are like Tardis's inside and still worth >1million).Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostIt's not envy, I'm correcting your arrogance.

Chez Bruce is Ok as one of my local restaurants, been there a few times, sadly it has declined IMO.
Wife not working? Another assumption.

Neither did I. Mrs SB was born and raised in London. That is why I know what a dump it is.Originally posted by sasguru View Postbut unlike you I didn't marry some child-bearing yokel from the sticks.

Of course if one was raised in a sink estate and had no imagination, one would think that the whole of London must be like that.
So I'm guessing Mrs SB is not from the top drawer.
