And just found out they expect me to sign in to the course every day so they know if I dont show up !!!

So I'm sure someone can fake your signature. would they recognise you on sight is really the only thing you need to worry about?

Thumbprints which is what was really used rather than X's would make it rather more difficult.

If you're made redundant (or take voluntary like I did), Welsh Assembly will fund a training course and associated expenses for you. I think the limit is £2000 now but it was £2500 when I applied (before April).

Of course, one of the conditions is if you dont show for the course, they'll chase you to pay for it which seems fair enough.

It doesn't seem fair enough that if you actually find work, they penalise you for it, to me.

But, bearing in mind, this scheme is for all workers not just IT. And they dont want people booking courses and then not turning up for whatever excuse.

**** em- they are not in a position to make such a demand and doing so demonstrates an inflexibility which can only have negative connotations
