I can't fkcing stand her already.

She's the most enthusiastic and jolly person I've ever met - it's an onslaught I'm defenceless against.

She's also got that sort of, phlegmy voice, where you can hear her saliva preparing for the next onslaught of jolly crap.

She mutters to herself during meetings while other people speak ('mmmm, sure') and laughs to herself for no reason.

She also laughs inanely at the end of almost every sentence that comes out of her mouth. She asked me a simple question earlier - I gave her the answer. She laughed as if I'd told her my best joke. She'd be lucky.

No - it's not a confidence thing. She's BRIMMING with confidence. BRIMMING.

I should probably be worried about how intolerant I am. Right?
There's a chance you could become really good mates. In my humble experiene people I really like straight off the bat let me down and I end up disliking them, and those I immediately dislike become good buddies and we laugh about it later. One of life's ironies I suppose.

next time she annoys you MP,
why not try wrestling her to the ground on her back, then grabbing her ankle and spinning her around on her hunch.

But let's face it, if she's fit enough you can forgive those things.

The confident ones usually can't find their arse with both hands, as the septics might say.
I used to work with one of the most feckless specimens I have ever encountered and often wondered why he had bullet-proof confidence yet was completely incompetent, then someone pointed out that his incompetence means he has no ability for self-reflection and analysis and is therefore blissfully unaware that he is tulipe.

on the other hand being over bearing like this can often indicate deep-rooted low self-esteem

difficult one but anyone super confident or super happy ring alarm bells with me
