It frightens me that we 'medicate' children that do not conform to an arbitrary definition of 'normal'.
Our new-fangled, barbaric system is profiling, labelling, separation and medicating.
I think it's a disease of modern, wealthy societies. Just like the obsession with appearance that leads to anorexia and idiotic plastic surgery or 'teeth whitening' when teeth aren't even supposed to be white. If people have no financial worries, no physical health worries and no facial or physical deformities they'll start worrying about something else, like what that woman with the scarf on her head is planning to do or whether they're 'normal'. It's a luxury disease.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
