Ok, let me spell it out. It doesn't exactly take a genius to work out that since the source of this video is the state broadcaster of a hardline Islamic state it is highly unlikely to be impartial. I was joking about the electrodes but it's not exactly beyond the pail that some of those words may have been put into her mouth or perhaps some selective editing was brought into play. Tchh! You lefties..... -

Oh dear. Whenever insulting somebody with such an epithet, it is always highly advisable to ensure that your spelling is correct.Originally posted by EC4N View PostYou're repeatedly exposing yourself as an imbercile. If you've got an issue to grapple with at least have some clout to debate with some rational thought before allowing your mindset to fall below the levels of a sewer. She's certainly not worth debating with that one neuronal cell of yours.
And what is irrational about mentioning that Iran has executed girls under the age of 16 for "crimes against chastity" when debating a video released under that same regime's state broadcaster? Are you in denial that this has happened? God, you really must be deluded.
<edit>
I'm terribly sorry EC4N, I was wrong all along. She wasn't a child as I originally claimed; she was, in fact, 16 years old.

Quite. Why do people keep on parroting this nonsense about tolerant Islam and its respect for women, no matter how many facts and statistics suggest otherwise? Sure, there are tolerant branches and groups who campaign against sharia but unfortunately those are not the ones making the headway at the moment. Some, like the Ahmadis, are actively persecuted.you really must be deludedbloggoth

The fact that she's outlining her reasons for adopting a certain faith makes no difference as to which news outlet she chooses. Perhaps it might seem alot more credible if she expressed them on Newsnight?Originally posted by xoggoth View PostNot exactly an independant source though is it? State controlled press of an Islamist state.

Live and let live in this country, matey...
Does it not worry you that perhaps, in some time in the future, Islam could be the predominant faith in this country? Do you not think that if this were the case that some of the proponents of this faith will have some input into the way our laws are made and enforced? Seems fair enough doesn't it? Well then go look at all the other countries in the world where Muslims run the show (I've lived in a few) and tell me that they are places that enjoy freedom of expression and tolerance.
And, before you accuse me of racism or islamophobia, I'd like to take the opportunity to announce that I am of Spanish Jewish extraction (if my nickname hadn't already given it away !).Comment

Do tell, how does being Spanish and Jewish prevent you from being an islamophobic racist?Originally posted by pacharan View PostAnd, before you accuse me of racism or islamophobia, I'd like to take the opportunity to announce that I am of Spanish Jewish extraction (if my nickname hadn't already given it away !).Coffee's for closersComment
