I was joking about the electrodes but it's not exactly beyond the pail that some of those words may have been put into her mouth or perhaps some selective editing was brought into play. Tchh! And what is irrational about mentioning that Iran has executed girls under the age of 16 for "crimes against chastity" when debating a video released under that same regime's state broadcaster? Are you in denial that this has happened? God, you really must be deluded.

Quite. Why do people keep on parroting this nonsense about tolerant Islam and its respect for women, no matter how many facts and statistics suggest otherwise? Sure, there are tolerant branches and groups who campaign against sharia but unfortunately those are not the ones making the headway at the moment. Some, like the Ahmadis, are actively persecuted.

The fact that she's outlining her reasons for adopting a certain faith makes no difference as to which news outlet she chooses. Perhaps it might seem alot more credible if she expressed them on Newsnight?

Do you not think that if this were the case that some of the proponents of this faith will have some input into the way our laws are made and enforced? Seems fair enough doesn't it? Well then go look at all the other countries in the world where Muslims run the show (I've lived in a few) and tell me that they are places that enjoy freedom of expression and tolerance.
