I think it was at the SCG where the Australian crowd pulled the Union Flag down and set alight to it. Absolute hatred the Australians have for the English because of that.

Not that the Australians have a great record of sportsmanship...

New Zealand had to make a run or something from the last ball to win the match. The Australian bowler thinks it would be a good idea to roll the ball up and thus depriving New Zealand the chance to make a run scoring hit.

It escalated to the parliaments of both countries and there is still quite a lot of bad blood over the incident. Cricket rules were swiftly changed a few days later.

I just love the way he tosses the bat up as he walks off.

That's when the will to win is just too strong you'll do anything.

I see Greg Chappell got a kicking from beefy again last week. These ex-Aussie captains all piss & wind.

I would rather watch Hussey smack balls round the park than 2 60 year olds handbagging it in the car park.

Ohh, that reminds me there was a cricket match on this morning, did you see it?

We were 20 or something for nought when I left. So I assume we're probably on 100-0 or 100-1, Cook on 50 & Pieterson dominating Johnson.

As I remember it, Bradman only needed 4 in that last innings to secure a career test average of 100. The numbers were indelibly imprinted on my brain.

And regarding the Chappell pea-roller, New Zealand needed a six off that last ball, hence the pea-roller which is almost impossible to score a six from.

I was a half decent Batsman in my day, though I say so myself, but am by no means a huge fan of the game. However, I predict a narrow 2-1 win for the Aussies over the course of this Ashes series, primarily hinging on the fact that they have home advantage.
Looks like the odds on my prediction of November 25th have shortened considerably.
At least it is still wide open...............
