Originally posted by kandr View PostI agree, but always walking away from every confrontation is whats being suggested here, I disagree with that. I would never put myself in serious danger, but at the same time you need to have some dignity.
1. Don't get involved in a confrontation in the first place.
2. Reassess how you view your self-worth (aka dignity).Comment

I've had several fights in the past. I haven't been involved in a fight for over 15 years but here's a catalogue of past incidents that spring to mind.
Was arrested and locked up over night for scrapping with best mate in a pub because he stubbed his cig out on my chest leaving a hole in my shirt and a nice burn - he thought it was hilarious until I smacked him in the face several times.
Was attacked by three blokes for accusing one of them of thieving from my stuff. Had to move out of shared accomodation and doss on the street for one night after this.
Was given a broken nose in a nightclub for dancing with someones (intended) girlfriend. Tried to retaliate but bouncer mistook me as the instigator of the fight and I was ejected.Comment

No, although I think sometimes standing your ground can make you less likely to get attacked. Worked for me so far anyway.bloggoth
